FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
THE PRODUCT I WANT IS SOLD OUT! DID I MISS MY CHANCE?
If an item you want is sold out, please email us to pre-order one from the next batch.
THE BOARDS ARE SO PRETTY. IT WOULD BE A SHAME TO CUT ON THEM, WOULDN’T IT?
Not at all. All of our boards are made from North American hardwoods and they’re meant to be used. Knives will make a mark, but like any cutting board, marks add to its character. If you don’t want so much character, we recommend using one side to cut and one side to serve. That way you’ll always have one side for best.
WHERE ARE YOUR BOARDS MADE?
All of our boards are made in our workshop in Hawthorne, California, a few miles from LAX.
WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR WOOD?
We use North American hardwoods. We do not use reclaimed lumber because our products are meant to be used directly with food, and we can’t be certain what paints or stains have been used on those pieces in the past.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BOARD?
Please, never wash your wooden cutting board in the dishwasher! To clean your board, simply wash it with soap and warm water. Wipe off the excess water and prop it up against your backsplash to let it dry naturally.
If your cutting board looks dry, simply wipe it down with food safe mineral oil. Oiling your board prevents it from drying and splitting, much like lotion helps your skin.
To remove strong food odors like onion and garlic, wipe it down with some fresh lemon or a little baking soda. You may want to oil your board after you've done this. Following these simple steps will extend the life and beauty of your board.
